What is the difference between CCA and MCA?

Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) is a test conducted at 0 F (-18 C) for 30 seconds without the battery voltage falling below 7.2 V at the battery’s CCA rating.

Marine Cranking Amps (MCA) is a test conducted at 32 F (0 C) for 30 seconds without the battery voltage falling below 7.2 V at the battery’s MCA rating.

Marine Cranking Amps (MCA) is a test conducted at 32 F (0 C) for 30 seconds without the battery voltage falling below 7.2 V at the battery’s MCA rating.

To calculate the MCA rating of a battery compared to its CCA rating, multiply by 1.25.
